The Elephant: New York City has its own bizarre definition of exotic. We see a guy urinating into an iced tea bottle and we shrug and simply pass him off as “exotic,” or after a long week in the city, the rolling beaches of New Jersey may begin to seem “exotic.” The Elephant is, however, exotic in the most traditional sense. There is a full dinner menu, which features Thai, French, and Vietnamese food, as well as brunch on Sundays. The beer selection features Singha from Thailand, Tsing Tao from China, and Export 33 from Vietnam, just to name a few. This place certainly does capitalize on our big-eared mammal friend as well. Cocktails consist of the “Pink Elephant,” the “African Elephant,” the “Elephant Martini,” the “Original Elephant,” and PETA’s favorite, the “Wounded Elephant.” Though fairly small in size, The Elephant is jam-packed with personality. |
