Tenjune
Despite the parade of spiky-haired frat boys rolling past in rented convertibles, this small, dim club still has one of the toughest doors in the city. Mark Birnbaum of Aer and Eugene Remm, who handled Level V’s party-throwing duties, have cooked up one of the MPD’s most popular—and therefore most unbearable—hot spots, and it still simmers after two years. The room itself is long, sleekly designed, and crowded with tables lining the walls. A miniscule bar area provides a good excuse to splurge on bottle service, which in all likelihood, is your only way in, unless you do as Wall Street does—get dinner at STK upstairs first then arrive via elevator. The crowd skews young, which means celeb DJs playing fast and furious mixes of rock, hip-hop, and whatever else models can dance to at—or atop—their tables. Pick your night carefully, because you might see Kanye kicking back here, or you might be surrounded by cookie-cutter, barely-legal club kids.

Had a blast

It was well worth the wait to get in to tenjune. Despite other comments, I thought the crowd was beautiful... yes, there were some suits at tables but you'll find that at any club of this nature. The dj was great and the energy was incredible. I highly recommend it Tenjune if you want a fun night of dancing

Boycot Napolean by not going to this club

This club is horrible. The doormen are rude and disrespectful. The short white guy at the door has napoleon complex and thinks he's important. When you go to a club you are a customer and you should be respected. This important guy at the door has diarrhea of the mouth.

It's true that this club is not Marquee, but that's why we like it. The crowd is far more interesting than the dancing queens elsewhere. The space is intimate and darkly glam, meaning lots of people making out, but the drinks, served in giant lowball glasses, will help you feel the love. And the questionable soundtrack.

Overrated

Waiting outside for nearly an hour just to get inside and find out the place is completely empty is not how anyone should spend a saturday night. Go somewhere else!

NEXT!

This place held the nightclub heavyweight title for about 2 months, but now it is already a has-been! With hopes this would be the next marquee, cain or pangaea (clubs that stayed hot for a few years), it no longer needs a doorman, it needs a toll taker for all the B&T!

Cheesy

I heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a chance with a group of friends. You walk down into a dungeon like atomosphere that is crowded with very lame people. It's very dark and the drinks are over priced for what the place is. I read about the place before hand and they must have a good PR company spreading BS about the scene. There are at least 20 spots within a quarter mile radius of Tenjune that are a much better time and crowd. Like most NYC clubs, this place will not survive unless they change some things around quick.
