OSO: Surf and turf reign at OSO, the new steak-plus house and first full-service restaurant at the modest Southampton Inn. The eatery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is minimally decorated—oriental rugs, leather banquettes, and art by local artists on the walls. There’s also a small terrace, poolside dining, and a full-service bar where mostly those waiting to be seated linger. While drinks are moderately priced at around $5 for a beer and $10 for cocktails, the food is closer to standard Hampton prices (appetizers between $7 and $16 and entrees $19-$39). If steak’s not your thing, look for seafood and vegetarian dishes, all prepared using organic, seasonal, and locally-grown ingredients. |
