Hundred Acres: French countryside restaurant Provence has been madeover American-style to serve all things farm fresh and rustic under the name of Hundred Acres. After saying au revoir last month, owners Marc Meyer and Vicki Freeman (Five Points and Cookshop) and chef-partner Joel Hough have worked fast to turn around the space. The bar features a butcher shop-inspired design, complete with white-tiled walls and a range of meats on display. Two long communal tables at the bar accomodate walk-ins while two dining rooms feature white marble tables. As a nod to the tough economy, Hundred Acres is promising affordable prices (meals $22 and under; bottles of wine $50 and under) and seasonal ingredients. |
