Gay Latinos flock to this midtown club to get their groove on. But if you’re lots of salsa and meringue, you’ll be disappointed to find instead a tiny dance floor featuring thus usual hip-hop and house beats you’ll encounter in most clubs. Still, Latin lovers continue to keep this place popular, be it on Thursday’s men-only night or “Secret Fridays,” when plenty of papis and their female counterparts keep the party going well into the night. But it’s “Azucar Saturdays” that draw the largest crowd, which comes for the go-go dancers, drag shows, and, of course, for the tasty brown sugar. |
